The Department of Community Medicine and Primary Care is a relatively young department that brings affordable health care closer to the community through outreach programmes and collaboration with other governmental and non-governmental organizations.
The department has staff consisting of 2 public health physicians, 3 medical officers, 6 public health nurses, 10 community health workers,  dietician,  enviromental health officer,  health attendants and administrative/clerical staff.

Health care services for people living with HIV/AIDS
Treatment and control of pulmonary and extra-pulmonary tuberculosis
Immunoprophylaxis, growth monitoring, under-five clinic outreach services and rural health services.
HIV clinic building with an equipped laboratory, DOTS laboratory, child welfare unit with vaccine-storage facilities

•    Adherence to antiretroviral therapy by HIV positive clients.
•    Nutritional and Academic performance of primary school children in Obafemi-Owode Local Government
