The Department of Administration is saddled with the onerous task of ensuring that the administrative machinery of the hospital runs very efficiently to the end of optimal and effective utilization of the human and material resources to actualize the vision and mission of the centre. The department has the largest staff of 156 senior staff and 224 junior staff distributed across several units including establishment unit,  administration, information and records unit (AIRU), registry unit, Information, communication and technology (ICT), planning research and statistics unit (PRS), training/industrial relations unit, pension unit, public relations unit and legal unit.

Vision
To play a central role in the provision of efficient administrative and human resources services in the centre.

Services provided
Appointment, promotion and discipline of personnel.
Management of human, financial and material resources.
Maintenance of personnel and hospital records and provision of secretariat services to the centre.
The ICT unit provides internet facilities, data information and management.

Workshops/seminars on effective management and administration in the public services.
IHSAN update workshops for administrative officers.

Workshop on information and records keeping.
Workshops/seminars on effective public relations in the hospital management.

5-year  targets
To have a functional administrative building that would accommodate all members of staff in the department.
Expansion of the current scope of services in the department to meet the expansion needs of the hospital.

To establish and maintain social and strong capacity building relations with foreign based institutions.
To achieve maximum compliance on computer literacy level among member of staff in the department.
To create a good climate for effective industrial relations.
To establish and maintain a robust private-public partnership that would impact on health care delivery in the centre.
